Bad Timing
‘Off Plan’
29th September–12th October 2023
Off Plan derives from Bad Timing’s longstanding interests in site-specific projects, sound recording, DIY approaches and the challenges of finding venues for experimental music, sound and art in a city under constant development.
Over the summer of 2023, Bad Timing was invited by Quip & Curiosity to be in residence, capturing the space through field recording, improvisation and working with sound artists and musicians. Off Plan completes this residency by opening Quip & Curiosity and Bad Timing’s Self-Assembly venue for installation works, performances and workshops.
Installations and soundworks have been made from site-specific recordings reflecting on how sound relates to the changing indoor/outdoor spaces and traces the site’s history and development.
